What does Calvin Pryor-Demario Davis trade with Browns mean for Jets?

With the Jets trading strong safety Calvin Pryor to the Browns, in exchange for inside linebacker Demario Davis, what does this mean for the Jets?

Well, most obviously, it means a player is gone (Pryor) who wasn't part of the Jets' future plans anyway. After they drafted two safeties (Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye) in the first two rounds -- and then didn't pick up Pryor's fifth-year option for 2018 -- it became clear Pryor's days were numbered with Jets, even if he played out his contract in 2017.

It is now obvious that Adams and Maye will be the Jets' safety duo in 2017.
