La’Mical Perine and Bradlee Anae have a chance to run into the book of New York Jets preseason legends.
A third-year running back, Perine helped the Jets erase a two-possession comeback through a seven-yard touchdown run in the early stages of Monday’s final preseason quarter against the Atlanta Falcons. Perine’s seven-yard run was the second play of the fourth quarter and the capper of an eight-play, 76-yard drive. Quarterback Chris Streveler put in the second-biggest play of the drive in on a 14-yard run, shortly before the Jets benefitted from a 28-yard defensive pass interference penalty.
Babe, wake up the Jets are winning.
