OAKLAND, Calif -- The Jets are a rebuilding team. This entire year is about developing, progressing, and evaluating the young players on the roster. By the end of this season, coaches and decision makers should have an idea which guys can play a part in turning this around, and who must be replaced.
Which is why the decision to sit rookie receivers ArDarius Stewart and Chad Hansen in Sunday's 45-20 loss to the Raiders makes little sense.
Instead of playing their third and fourth round pick, the Jets routinely trotted out Charone Peake and Jeremy Kerley after starters Robby Anderson and Jermaine Kearse.
