ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- One big reason why the Jets' offense could get nothing going in Sunday's 21-12 season-opening loss at the Bills: The Jets' running game stunk.
The Jets gained 214 yards overall and 38 on the ground, compared to 190 rushing yards for the Bills.
The Jets' running back duo of Matt Forte and Bilal Powell combined for 13 carries and 38 yards -- just 2.9 yards per carry. Brutal. A lot of this has to do with the Jets' offensive line not creating enough space.
So how doomed are the Jets if they can't establish a running game this season?
