The Jets are 23-point underdogs against the Patriots at William Hill sportsbooks for Sunday’s game in Foxborough, Mass., and that number could climb.
“It’s utterly insane,” said Nick Bogdanovich, William Hill’s director of trading. “The Jets looked helpless without [Sam] Darnold and New England looks like world beaters. We’re trying to find a number that will draw money on both sides.”
Bogdanovich said he doesn’t expect the spread to hit 24, but added: “I could be wrong. People who have been laying the big numbers have been hitting them pretty easily, so they may keep doing it until they lose.
