On Saturday, the Miami Dolphins downgraded starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to doubtful. Friday’s injury report listed him as questionable with a thumb injury (throwing hand), but a day later, it appears as though an old friend will square off against his former team for the second time this season.
The first-round Alabama product injured his thumb in practice this week on the heels of a tough performance against the Denver Broncos last Sunday. Tagovailoa threw for just 83 yards and a touchdown on 11 of 20 passing.
Elsewhere, Sam Darnold is set to make his second return from injury this season.
