It appears Trumaine Johnson has played his last snap for the Jets.
The cornerback was placed on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday. He has been dealing with injuries to both ankles.
The Jets signed Johnson to a five-year, $72.5 million contract in 2018, but they are expected to cut him in the offseason. The signing will go down as one of the worst in Jets history. Johnson never lived up to his contract and was even benched early this season.
Johnson got $34 million in guaranteed money over these two years and played 17 games.
