Trumaine Johnson sounds ready to return after missing the past four games with an injured right quad, but the injury report isn’t as optimistic for the Jets’ top cornerback.
Though Johnson returned to practice Thursday and Friday, he is listed as doubtful to play Sunday in Miami. Should he be out again, it appears he’ll have little say in the decision.
“I definitely feel like I’m there, but that’s the coach’s decision, the trainer’s decision,” Johnson said following Friday’s practice. “It’s not my choice.”
Since signing a $72 million contract to join the Jets in the offseason, Johnson has appeared in just four games.
