The New York Jets are currently in a full rebuilding mode and aren’t afraid of cutting ties with anyone if the organization feels they’re either overpaid or not carrying their weight. Cornerback Dexter McDougle hasn’t had any luck making an impact since the moment he was selected in Round 3 of the 2014 NFL Draft.
Whether it’s been his nagging hamstring injury or his lack of competitive play, McDougle is on the outside looking in with the Jets. In the grand scheme of things, it’ll be hard for McDougle to even remain on the final roster unless he has a training camp for the ages.
