In his latest mock draft (2.0 version), ESPN's Todd McShay picks Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott for the New York Jets at No. 20.
The last time the Jets selected a first-round running back was -- dare I say it? -- Blair Thomas in 1990. Obviously, that didn't work out too well, but that's ancient history.
The running back position has been devalued in recent years, but I have no problem with taking one in the first round as long as the player is worth the selection.
