In his updated mock draft, posted Thursday, the ESPN draft analyst has the Jets selecting Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch with the 20th pick. With Carson Wentz (Cleveland Browns, second) and Jared Goff (San Francisco 49ers, seventh) off the board, Lynch becomes the best quarterback available.
It would be a fascinating scenario because, in case you haven't been paying attention, Ryan Fitzpatrick is unsigned and there's no obvious heir apparent on the roster.
