A year ago, the Jets were playing out the string and getting ready for a house-cleaning as they stumbled to a 4-12 season. Now, they could be heading to the playoffs after improving to 10-5 on Sunday with a 26-20 overtime win over the Patriots at MetLife Stadium.
“It’s awesome,” veteran linebacker Calvin Pace said. “People talk a lot about 4-12 and 4-12 is 4-12, but we were competitive. It’s not like we were getting blown out every game. We just didn’t have enough. It wasn’t our year. People go through it. You add some pieces, you get a new coach, get some change and it works, man.
