FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Willie Colon's now-infamous "Porsche" quote required immediate damage control. And it wasn't an isolated case.

Commenting on it for the first time, New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith said Wednesday he and Colon discussed the controversial remarks "that night" -- meaning the day of Colon's radio interview.
