It looks like Lorenzo Mauldin's days with the Jets are just about finished.
The former third-round draft pick hinted that he's about to be cut in a tweet sent shortly after practice on Monday afternoon.
The tweet was deleted shortly thereafter.
Then, after deleting the initial tweet, Mauldin fired off another quick message - and changed his tune the second time around.
Mauldin was selected by the Jets in 2015 NFL Draft and recorded seven tackles and four sacks during an impressive rookie season. But since then, Mauldin has not delivered.
He posted seven tackles and 2 1/2 sacks in 2016 before having his season cut short due to injury, then missed all of 2017 while recovering from back surgery.
