During the fourth quarter of the New York Jets‘ eventual 27-12 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, the CBS broadcast underwent some technical issues that caused television viewers to miss a handful of plays from the tail end of a pivotal Jets offensive drive.
The Jets were trailing by 15 points and started a drive at their own 36-yard line with 14:00 remaining in the game. At this point, they were very much alive.
New York drove down to Cincinnati’s 28-yard line before the broadcast cut out. Viewers then missed a 10-yard completion to Elijah Moore, a 4-yard run by Michael Carter, and an incomplete pass intended for Corey Davis.
