The reasoning behind Jets’ ignored free-agency splashes

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Jets entered free agency with $90 million in salary-cap space. Two weeks later, they have spent about $60 million of it.

With all the focus on what the Jets are doing at quarterback, some of their free-agent signings have not gotten the attention they normally would have. Jets coach Todd Bowles was asked about them this week. Here is what he had to say about their pickups other than Teddy Bridgewater:
