The New York Jets may cut these 5 players

The New York Jets may cut the following players, in order from most to least likely:

Jeff Cumberland (likely) – Jeff Cumberland most likely will not be a New York Jets when the 2016 season starts. Unless he is willing to take a pay cut, there is no reason to keep him around. Cutting him would save almost two million against the cap. His injury history, combined with Jace Amaro’s return, makes it seem like him not being a NY Jet in 2016 a forgone conclusion. The Jets value tight ends who can block and Amaro is just a better receiving option at TE anyway, making Cumberland expendable.
