CHICAGO — The Jets lost to the Bears on Sunday, 24-10, but that wasn’t the worst part of the day, honestly. Look: The Jets are what they are. They are not a contender. They are not a playoff-caliber team. Could they reverse the 3-5 mark they take into the midway point and finish 8-8? Possible, but doubtful.
They are a 5-6-7 win team that is now 2-10 on the road the past two seasons and sometimes looks like a JV team wandering into the varsity game when they wander free from New Jersey. So losing isn’t the real sin when we look at this team.
