The 10 biggest draft busts in Jets history

Quinton Coples joined the lengthy list of Jets' first-round draft busts on Monday when the linebacker/defensive end was cut in the middle of his fourth unremarkable season for Gang Green. As disappointing as Coples, the 16th overall pick in 2012, was, his career is not bad enough to crack the Jets' all-time time 10 first-round busts:

10. Russell Carter

Jets whiffed on not one, but two first-round picks in 1984. Before wasting the No. 15 overall on Ron Faurot, Jets took this SMU safety at No. 10 and promptly moved him to cornerback, where he made four interceptions as a rookie but was never heard from again.
