When it comes to the New York Jets, one would think it’s a lack of talent on the team that has prevented them from being a powerhouse in the AFC East. Others will think it’s all the injuries that have hit the roster, most of which to their established stars that have hindered this team on the gridiron.
In the grand scheme of things, these do have a part of why the Jets are 3-5, but even when the team was healthy, they still lacked the basic fundamentals of execution. They lacked common football acumen and overall discipline to not cause useless penalties or make boneheaded plays when it mattered most.
