The New York Jets failed to address the pass rush in free agency. They can’t afford to make that same mistake in the draft. As a result, Josh Allen of the University of Kentucky is an intriguing option for Gang Green with the No. 3 pick.
According to Rich Cimini of ESPN, there is a growing belief among NFL teams that the Jets are planning to take Allen if they go with a 3-4 scheme.
Allen is an EDGE rusher but he’s considered an outside linebacker who fits better into a 3-4 rather than defensive coordinator Gregg Williams’ preferred 4-3.
