FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- New York Jets tight end Kellen Davis will miss the remainder of the offseason program after recently having surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb.
Davis will be ready for the start of training camp in late July, according to coach Todd Bowles.
Without Davis, who led the team's tight ends in playing time last season, Jace Amaro and Zach Sudfeld are sharing time with the first team. Wes Saxton also is getting additional reps.
Davis, who had only three catches last season, is regarded as a blocking tight end.
