The Jets have re-signed unrestricted free agent tight end Kellen Davis.
Davis, entering his ninth NFL season, joined the Green & White last year as a UFA, coming over from the Detroit Lions. He played in all 16 games (nine starts), logging 433 offensive plays plus 145 more on special teams. He was more blocker than receiver, making only three catches for 18 yards, with one of them a 1-yard touchdown reception from Geno Smith in Game 7 at Oakland.
Before bouncing around, from the Seahawks to the Giants to the Lions, in 2013-14, Davis had been a Bear.
