Jets legend Matt Snell’s disdain for his former team is a mystery to his old backfield teammate, too.
Snell won’t be at MetLife Stadium on Sunday for his induction into the Jets’ Ring of Honor along with fellow running back Emerson Boozer, and Boozer sounded as lost for a reason for Snell’s boycott as everyone else Friday.
“I don’t know why he’s on the outside, nor have I tried to bring him back inside,” Boozer said at a news conference at the Jets’ Florham Park facility in connection with Sunday’s halftime ceremony.
Boozer added the last time he spoke with Snell was “maybe three years ago,” and the topic of Snell’s beef with the Jets — as usual — never came up.
