The Steelers don’t have to let Le’Veon Bell walk without getting anything for him.
There is a complicated avenue they can take with the disgruntled running back that will add yet another chapter to this saga.
Pittsburgh can place a transition tag on Bell, which would allow them to match any offer he receives on the open market. The tag would cost $14.5 this season, and allow the Steelers a chance to at least get something for Bell in a trade. It’s an option they are strongly considering and ready to take, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
