The son of former Jets defensive lineman Barry Bennett was arrested in Mexico on Saturday on charges he murdered his parents earlier this week at their Minnesota home, authorities said.
Dylan Bennett, 22, was arrested by Mexican authorities in a hotel in Cancun after Minnesota authorities traced him there using his cell phone, credit card and ATM activity, the Todd County Sheriff’s office announced in a statement.
The FBI would transport him back to Minnesota “in the coming days” to face charges that he murdered his parents, Carol and Barry Bennett of Long Prairie, Minn.
