Should the NY Jets still target a tight end in the NFL draft?

Entering this offseason, the New York Jets needed to bolster their tight end position for Zach Wilson entering the quarterback’s pivotal second season.

The Jets did an exceptional job of drastically upgrading the tight end group in free agency. General manager Joe Douglas signed C.J. Uzomah and Tyler Conklin to three-year contracts. These additions allow offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur to run more two tight end sets, which is an integral aspect of his scheme. It should create a needed balance between the run game and the play-action pass game.
