Saturday Spotlight: Leonard Williams Roars

“I thought it woke the guys up a little bit,” said head coach Todd Bowles, referring to Williams’ early-second-quarter safety. “He’s been playing with a lot of energy. I felt that after that, guys started playing. Having not played in a while and then getting them together, they have to understand what game situations are like. We can’t start that slow.”

Williams’ safety came while rushing the edge and flying in untouched to sack QB T.J. Yates in the end zone and gave the Jets their first points of the night.

“It felt great finally hitting the quarterback,” said Williams.
