The Jets have a new kicker.
The Jets signed Sam Ficken on Tuesday after hosting a tryout to replace Kaare Vedvik, The Post’s Brian Costello confirmed. Vedvik, who was claimed off waivers by the Jets before Week 1, missed an extra point and a field goal in Sunday’s 17-16 loss to the Bills.
Ficken kicked in four games for the Rams in 2017 and 2018, going 3-for-6 on field goal attempts and making 14 of 15 extra points. Ficken was with the Packers in training camp this year.
The Jets opted not to re-sign Jason Myers this offseason after he made the Pro Bowl for them a year ago in his lone season with the team.
