Sam Darnold's chance to take over Jets has arrived | Why QB can expect extra training camp work

RICHMOND, Va. -- Todd Bowles says the Jets still haven't decided how they'll divvy up snaps between their three quarterbacks when they play the Washington Redskins on Thursday night.

But at this point, Bowles' plan is very clear: see a lot of Sam Darnold.

The Jets' No. 3 overall draft pick ran the large majority of reps during Sunday's joint practice with the Redskins and 12 of his 18 snaps came behind the first-team offensive line.

That continued a trend from last week - and Friday night's preseason win over the Falcons - of Darnold getting the lion's share of work.
