Coming off the first four-touchdown game of his Jets career, Sam Darnold was still thinking Thursday about the lone interception he threw in Sunday’s win against Washington.
Redskins linebacker Jon Bostic picked off Darnold’s high, forced throw intended for Ty Montgomery on a botched screen pass in the second quarter, setting up a Washington field goal.
“I think, for me, I’ve just got to be smart with the football,” Darnold said. “I think when a play breaks down and there are a lot of guys around me, I’ve got to realize that and either throw it away or make sure that I’ve got it tucked and just go down.
