Jets coach Adam Gase could hardly contain himself when asked about a particular completion Sam Darnold made to receiver Quincy Enunwa in Thursday’s preseason game against the Falcons.
The pass went for 15 yards to Enunwa on the second offensive play from scrimmage en route to a touchdown drive.
“The throw to Quincy, I don’t know if I’ve seen many that were better in my career,’’ Gase said Tuesday. “He put it in the one spot [only Enunwa could catch it]. It was a very tight throw, and it was very accurate. It was a great throw considering a little bit of pressure in his face, and he slid [in the pocket] and wasn’t really aligned … and to throw it with that kind of accuracy was very impressive.
