Unfortunately for the New York Jets, rookie quarterback Sam Darnold is still dealing with a foot injury that made him miss the first practice of the week coming off the bye. As per Josh Alper of NBC Sports, Darnold did not take part in Monday’s practice due to his foot injury.
Ideally, the Jets will not rush Darnold back into the starting lineup until he is 100 percent ready to go. Considering the Jets are 3-7 and have no hope of making the NFL Playoffs, it might be best to consider shutting Darnold down for the rest of the season.
