Miles was released Sunday when the Jets acquired Ronald Martin on waivers from Seattle. When Miles cleared waivers today, the Green & White added him as the ninth member of the P-squad.
"Rontez had a great camp and I told him that myself," head coach Todd Bowles, the one-time Super Bowl safety, said following today's practice but before Miles' return was announced. "I thought he was the most improved guy. But that doesn’t mean he was ready. There are still some things he has to learn, but I think he was getting there. Just to have him on the team, I thought he need a little bit more time and I loved to work with the guy.
