Ryan Kalil has season end in another Jets disaster

The Jets signed center Ryan Kalil in August, hoping he could help a shaky offensive line. Like most things in this Jets season, it did not work out.

Kalil was placed on season-ending injured reserve on Saturday after playing just seven games for the Jets. He missed the last two games with a knee injury. Kalil practiced on a limited basis Wednesday but then did not practice the rest of the week, which was an ominous sign.

The Jets signed the 34-year-old Kalil during the first week of training camp, marking the first big move by general manager Joe Douglas.
