Ryan Fitzpatrick injury means thumbs-down for sloppy Jets

OAKLAND -- A season can change in a nanosecond. The New York Jets know this better than most because it has happened twice in the last three months. First it was Geno Smith's broken jaw, now it's Ryan Fitzpatrick's injured left thumb. As a result, they've reached the first crisis point in Todd Bowles' rookie season.

Fitzpatrick was injured on the sixth play of Sunday's game -- it happened on a scramble -- and everything fell apart for the Jets, who played their worst game of 2015 in a 34-20 loss to the Oakland Raiders at O.co Coliseum.
