TAMPA, Fla. -- Ryan Fitzpatrick got his first start as quarterback of the Buccaneers against the Jets on Sunday. A bit poetic, considering Fitzpatrick spent the last two years quarterbacking New York.
Taking things further, Fitzpatrick's individual performance perfectly summed up his time in green.
Some of it was pretty. Some of it was ugly. And in the end, Fitzpatrick did just enough to kill the Jets' playoff hopes. Tampa Bay's 15-10 victory virtually eliminates New York (4-6) from postseason contention.
"It was special to me to be able to win that game," Fitzpatrick said.
