Running back’s unbelievable day roars Jets back to life

The Jets brought Week 1 back to life — and back home.

Led by Isaiah Crowell’s career-high 219-yard rushing performance and Robby Anderson’s two deep touchdown catches, the Jets opened a three-game homestand by putting an impressive end to their three-game losing streak, dominating the Broncos on both sides of the ball in a 34-16 win.

Sam Darnold finished 10-of-22 with 198 yards passing and three touchdowns (one interception), while Leonard Williams surpassed last year’s sack total with Sunday’s performance and matched a career-best performance with 2.5 sacks.

The Jets (2-3) return to MetLife Stadium on Sunday to face the Colts (1-4), with a chance to win consecutive games for the first time in a year.
