New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh provided a final injury update on Friday ahead of the team’s Week 11 game against the New England Patriots.
Saleh says wide receiver Corey Davis (knee) and defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins (elbow) will miss the game.
Rankins’s absence is no surprise. He suffered a dislocated elbow in Week 9 and initially had a return timetable of 4-6 weeks, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. However, the Jets did not put him on injured reserve, so there is a possibility Rankins could return sooner. Still, it’s only been two weeks, so Rankins was never going to play in this one.
