The Jets are are in a contract negotiation standoff with Fitzpatrick, and Todd Bowles recently said the Jets “have plans B, C and D in place as well.” He wouldn’t say what those quarterback alternatives were, but Griffin probably figured to be one of the options considering the team had brought him in for a visit.
