The NY Jets drafted Darrelle Revis in 2007 and ever since his rookie season, he has been considered one of the best corners of all time. After Revis officially joined the team (he missed twenty-one days of training camp while negotiating his contract), he became a shutdown corner and earned the nickname “Revis Island”. Between 2007-2012, quarterbacks would rarely throw in Revis’ direction, fearing the young corner’s agility and coverage skills; skills that earned Revis 19 interceptions in his first six years. In 2010, Revis held out again, this time into September missing the entire preseason, leading to another large, long-term contract.
