Reports: Jets to release CB Bless Austin

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. – The Jets are shaking up their cornerback room with a surprising move, reportedly releasing Bless Austin.

The third-year cornerback was expected to start on the outside when the Jets open the season next Sunday in Carolina.

Now, it appears that either rookie Brandin Echols or Isaiah Dunn will start on the other side of second-year corner Bryce Hall. The Jets may have another move coming because they are extremely young and inexperienced at corner.

Austin, a sixth-round pick in 2019, has started 16 games over the past two seasons for the Jets.
