NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The Jets have reportedly agreed to terms with former Bears and Redskins defensive end Jarvis Jenkins.
The deal is worth $7 million over two years, the New York Daily News’ Manish Mehta reported.
Jenkins, 27, started 15 games for the Bears last season, registering 32 tackles and four sacks. He spent the three previous seasons with Washington, where he started 33 games but only recorded two sacks.
He figures to provide depth behind Muhammad Wilkerson, Sheldon Richardson and Leonard Williams.
Jenkins is not the only new face joining the Jets’ defensive line.
