Redskins head coach Jay Gruden is trying to quell the war of words between his team and Jets wide receiver Terrelle Pryor.
Gruden's comments about the ongoing Pryor-Redskins feud come less than a week before the Jets and Redskins hold joint practices in Richmond, Va. The Jets will practice down south from Aug. 12-14 before playing the Redskins in their second preseason game on Aug. 16 at FedEx Field.
Normally, joint practices would be nothing of real note. But back in June, Redskins linebacker Zach Brown said Pryor needs to keep his head up when the teams meet; apparently, the Redskins' defense didn't appreciate how Pryor, who played for Washington last year, used to conduct himself in practice.
