Rapoport: Darnold Likely out Until Week 14

It appears that the strain suffered by Jets quarterback Sam Darnold a couple of weeks ago is one of the worst strains in recent memory, or the Jets downplayed a more serious injury to save face after head coach Todd Bowles didn’t pull his injured center, Spencer Long, who was snapping the football all over the field, exposing Darnold to unnecessary hits just a couple of weeks ago.

The #Jets could get No. 3 pick QB Sam Darnold (foot) back next week, but the following week is more likely, sources say. He needs to get on the field next week & see how his foot responds.
