Quigley (right shin) has been listed as questionable to kick against the Patriots at Gillette Stadium on Sunday. In the event Quigley can't go, Weatherford (6'2", 211) is back. In his 10th year as an NFL punter, he became a veteran free agent after the Giants released him Sept. 4. He kicked for the Saints, Chiefs and Jaguars from 2006-08 before coming to the Jets for a two-year stay in 2009-10.
His best season for the Green & White was 2010, when he posted a gross average of 42.6, a net of 38.1, and tied the NFL record by dropping 42 of his 84 punts inside the 20.
