CHICAGO - Five false starts. Two neutral-zone infractions. Six different players.
The Jets did a tremendous job of crippling themselves throughout Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Bears at Soldier Field.
In total, they were flagged 10 times. Eight of them were accepted for a total of 45 yards.
But it was seven pre-snap penalties that really killed the Jets and stunted their momentum in a second straight loss.
"The good teams don't do that," cornerback Morris Claiborne said.
The Jets clearly didn't have the necessary discipline against the Bears.
