Player who held sign looking for NFL job gets shot with Jets

The Jets know their newest practice squad player is willing to do whatever it takes.

WR Joe Anderson, signed to Gang Green's practice squad Tuesday, is famous for standing outside NRG Stadium in Houston earlier this year hoping to get a job. He held a cardboard sign that read, "Not homeless...but STARVING for success!!! Will Run Routes 4 Food #WhateverItTakes #UnderDog #Ibelieve #hungry."

Though his tenacity didn't land him a spot in Houston, it has now earned him a gig with Gang Green.

Anderson played in nine games for the Bears between 2012 and 2013 but does not have a catch recorded in the NFL.
