Newly inaugurated Gov. Phil Murphy showed at least one thing in common with predecessor Chris Christie on Tuesday night: the ability to needle Giants and Jets fans.
Hours after being sworn in as New Jersey's 56th governor, Murphy celebrated with an elaborate inaugural ball in a heated tent on the field at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford -- home to the are's two NFL teams.
"This is an incredible treat," a beaming, tuxedoed Murphy told the crowd as he stood on stage with his wife, First Lady Tammy Snyder Murphy.
