Petty takes Dolphins' best shots, can't continue

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Jets quarterback Bryce Petty will have a CT scan Sunday to determine if there's damage to his lungs after he left Saturday night's game with a chest injury.

Petty was sandwiched by Miami Dolphins pass rushers Ndamukong Suh and Cameron Wake on the first play of the fourth quarter in the Jets' 34-13 loss at MetLife Stadium.

The second-year quarterback, making his third career start, took three warm-up tosses on the sideline, but he felt "a pretty sharp, burning pain throughout my chest.
